MJL Bangladesh PLC began its journey in 1998, marking a significant milestone in the history of the country’s lubricant industry. This visionary initiative was born when Mobil Corporation—later known as ExxonMobil Corporation—partnered with the state-owned Jamuna Oil Company Limited to establish Mobil Jamuna Lubricants Limited. Today, MJL Bangladesh PLC operates as a joint venture between EC Securities Limited, a subsidiary of East Coast Group, and Jamuna Oil Company, with a mission to position Bangladesh as a regional hub for blending world-class lubricants.In pursuit of that vision, MJL commissioned the country’s first state-of-the-art Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) in May 2003. Since then, both the plant's production capacity and MJL’s marketing reach have grown substantially. This zero-emission facility adheres to the highest international standards, beginning with the procurement of base oils from ExxonMobil and additives from globally recognized suppliers. The blending process is governed by ExxonMobil’s Product Integrity Management System (3PIMS) and is certified under ExxonMobil Quality Practices & Guidelines (QP&G), Bureau Veritas (BV) for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, as well as by the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) for ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
